Ezekiel 33:8

If you would have asked me a year ago where I would be today…. I definitely would not have said I’d be the administrative assistant at Houston First Church of God. I also would never have guessed that I would be interning at Disney World beginning in a little over a week.
While I may not have seen what the future was holding for me, God had a plan for me and he has a plan for you too. One thing I can be sure of is that Jesus will come back one day and people will spend eternity either in heaven or hell. So church, I pose the following question to you…
How selfish can we be not to tell other people about Jesus Christ? Some people will get offended that we’re sharing our faith with them. That is ok, they don’t have to believe it; they don’t have to agree with anything we say, but it’s still up to us to tell them. Tell others about the gospel, and leave the rest to God. We don’t have much time on this earth. Whether it’s family, friends, or strangers, don’t stop telling about the love of God and what He sent Jesus to do for us.
Ezekiel 33:8 says “When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for[a] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.”
I saw a video from Penn Jillette, who had this to say as an atheist; “If you know that a person is condemned to spend eternity in Hell, how much do you have to hate someone not to tell them about Jesus? How much do you have to hate somebody not to tell them about the one thing that could spare them from Hell?”
As Houston First Church of God spends the month of January discussing how to expand our reach and where our congregation has taken the gospel, we can also be looking at our own personal reach.  My reach will take me to Florida, and I pray that I have the opportunity to tell many people about Jesus.
Church, I also pray that in your lives you are presented with opportunities to tell people about Jesus. My hope is that while I’m in Florida I will hear stories of how lives were saved because of somebody from Houston First Church taking the time to show them who Jesus is.

Love you Church,
