Worship Arts
At Houston First Church of God we strive to create an environment of worship in all of our events. Whether through singing, preaching, teaching or fellowship, we seek to lead all those present into an attitude of worship. We believe in using as many of the arts as possible, realizing that different people worship in different ways.
Worship Team
The worship team is a group of artists that serve during Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services. Using the avenue of song, both old and new, we bring praise and worship to God each week. Participation in this group is by audition. We are looking for drummers and guitar players. Celebration Choir
The Celebration Choir is an active part of our Sunday morning services. Performing a wide variety of music, from classical to contemporary, this group is open to anyone who has a passion and desire for worship. We also present two musicals/cantatas a year for Christmas and Easter. The Celebration Choir rehearses weekly on Thursday evenings from 7:00 until 8:30.
Drama
The Drama Team is open to any who call Houston First Church of God home. Led by Pastor Nathan Smith and Sarah Mathewes, they share in ministry during Sunday Morning Worship, and as part of our seasonal productions. For more information contact Pastor Nathan or Jennifer Shaver.
Technical Support Ministries
The Technical Support ministries are a vital part of all our worship services. Incorporating sound, lights, projection, media, production, and stage crew, without this group of talented people nothing we do would be possible.
