I Have This Hope

I recently heard a new song by Tenth Avenue North and the words really caught my attention:

But sometimes my faith feels thin
Like the night will never end
Will you catch every tear
Or will You just leave me here?

But I have this hope
In the depth of my soul
In the flood or the fire
You’re with me and You won’t let go

So, whatever happens I will not be afraid
Cause You are closer than this breath I take
You calm the storm when I hear You call my name
I still believe that one day I’ll see Your face

David and I had to make a very unexpected and unplanned trip to Waco last week. His mother suffered a stroke on Thursday morning and it rocked our world. His mother is a vital part of his family; a matriarch of sorts. She takes care of everyone else and prays for them as no other I have seen. She truly loves Jesus and isn’t ashamed to let anyone know that.
When we are caught off guard it can be easy to question why things happen that appear to be devastating. None of this caught Jesus by surprise…we just have to have hope and trust that He will take care of her.

Blessings to you
