It’s Good to Be Home

“It’s good to be home”
This might be a phrase you have used after a long trip away from home or a long day at work. Your home is a place of safety, love and joy unless you can’t find your way home then it becomes a lonely place. April 19 was the last time I saw my dog Lilly. She was the light of the house; the one who caught my attention and who kept me company. Lilly decided to run away from home and wasn’t able to find her way back. As I was looking for her all I could think about was who was going to care for her like I did. Make sure she had something to eat, or that she wasn’t dirty. I was her home.
Jesus is our home. He is our safety, He is love, He is joy and we easily run away to find a place of loneliness full of fears where nothing satisfies. We lose sight of what we had before we lost our way home. We forget that we are the ones who have caught His attention and His heart. Then we start to live a life of regret and sorrow. So find your way home In Psalm 34:4 “I sought the Lord, and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears.”
So seek Jesus, love Jesus, trust Jesus and you are home.

Blessings,
