Cheat Day

When I hired my trainer, Tyler, I didn’t know I was going to get hooked. I love the workouts he plans and how much he pushes me. My body can handle a lot when I push it, but another thing my body needs is rest and a cheat day.

After being so disciplined with my food intake throughout the week I take my cheat day very seriously. Tacos are my go to, also cookies. I’ve just learned how to take my rest days. I do not pick up weights on that day and my muscles have time to recover. Taking these days is important because I don’t want to burn out.

“For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” 1 Timothy 4:8

Physical training does have value on your heart health. Have you ever noticed how out of breath you can get and how fast your heart is pumping going up stairs? Training for godliness has even more value and having a relationship with Jesus. Our goal is to be with Jesus at the end (eternally). How will we achieve that if we burnout? I say take your rest day seriously, take it slow unplug from what stresses you out and when you are physically and mentally rested you will be ready for more. Godly training is free! Jesus paid the price for us so get spiritually fit. I can’t say that for Tyler he will never be free. That is why it’s Jesus over Tyler.

Blessings,
Jackie
