One of my favorite quotes is, “If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans”.  It has been an interesting year for me, and it’s one that I’ll never forget. I really started questioning God about the direction of my life when I was laid off at my job. I had thought I had it all figured out. I was comfortable where I was and liked how my life was going. However it wasn’t what God had planned for me.

After a few months of praying and searching, I found myself back in my routine on the worship team; where I had been serving since I was in high school. With all the changes that 2015 brought to the church, I was still praying about the plans for my life. I felt God pulling me towards worship. God was speaking to me so clearly and planted the word worship so deep in my mind that it was all I could think about. I asked God to show me favor and told Him that I would do whatever He had planned for me, giving Him all the glory to him.

Its 2016, I have a job that I love, I’m engaged, and am at peace with what God has done for my life. He knows what is best for us, and for His kingdom. Have the faith and courage to allow Him to work in your life. I’m excited to see what God has in store for this church, and also that He has allowed me to be part of it.
