The Prince of Peace

John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Sunday so many of you decided to step out in the midst of your trouble and receive the peace of God.  I have no doubt that there were others who may not have come forward but still sought out God’s peace.  I am so proud of you.  The trouble might still be there but you can have peace in knowing that Jesus has overcome the world and every trouble in it.
Remember what you prayed on Sunday.  First, you cried out to God regarding the situation that was troubling you.  Then you praised God-praised Him for who He is, praised Him for what He has done, praised Him for what He can do, and praised Him for the specific things He has done in your life.  Finally, you called out to God that Jesus has overcome.
I trust that you left Sunday with the peace of God in your heart but you probably have already found out that peace is an ongoing pursuit.  Keep praying that same prayer-cry out to Him, praise Him, declare that Jesus has overcome.  Keep seeking Jesus as your Prince of Peace and He will show himself faithful now and beyond this Christmas season.
I love you much,
Pastor Tim.
