Fall Is Festival Season

Fall is festival season in Houston. As soon as the temperatures fall to the balmy low 90s, Southeast Texans flock to the outside. And why not? Still happening this month are the Harris County Fair, Wings over Houston, a Pet Fest, Texian Market Days, the Bluegrass Festival, the International Quilt Festival and more. Don’t forget the Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Fest. (Not to name names, but I think I know who might be attending that one!)

Festivals give people reasons to come together, experience new things, connect without the need for electronics, wear funny clothes or just people watch. Then, of course, there is the food. Is there any edible left in the world that hasn’t been placed on a stick and dunked in chocolate or deep fried? We have been celebrating around here, too.

 The installation of our new Lead Pastor, Tim Gould

 New carpet and paint in many places

 A new roof

 Fresh anointing in each service

 Pastor Appreciation Month with lots of goodies and surprises

Our own Fall Festival happens November 14th. With your help we can connect with many of our neighbors, learn more about them and influence our community with the love of God. Will you commit to being a part of this outreach?

Now, let’s go outside and play!
